General Dynamics IT wins Navy contract modification for personnel system
Investing.com - General Dynamics (NYSE: GD) Information Technology Inc. received a $39,198,688 modification to an existing cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to sustain the Navy Standard Integrated Personnel System, the U.S. Department of War announced today. The modification covers a one-year base period and four three-month option periods.
If all options are exercised, the cumulative value of the modification would reach $79,315,988. The Navy Standard Integrated Personnel System serves as the Navy's primary personnel management platform supporting active and reserve sailors worldwide.
The Navy will obligate $3,870,000 in fiscal 2026 operations and maintenance funds at the time of award. Work will be performed in New Orleans, Louisiana (60%) and Arlington, Virginia (40%).
The contract modification extends through May 14, 2028, if all options are exercised. The Naval Information Warfare Systems Command in San Diego, California, serves as the contracting activity.
The contract was awarded on a sole source basis under 10 U.S. Code 3204(a)(1), which allows for non-competitive procurement when only one responsible source exists. General Dynamics Information Technology is based in Falls Church, Virginia.
