Hungary to tap strategic fuel reserves next week, PM says
Investing.com -- Hungary will release additional fuel from its strategic reserves starting next week, Prime Minister Peter Magyar announced following his new government's inaugural meeting on Wednesday.
The country previously released 250,000 tons of crude oil from its strategic reserves in February after oil flows halted on the Druzhba pipeline from Russia.
Magyar said security of supply will remain stable until the new release begins next week. The Prime Minister did not specify the volume of fuel that will be released from the reserves.
The Druzhba pipeline has historically been a major supply route for Russian oil to Central European countries, including Hungary.
