Unisys wins UK government technology services framework contract
Unisys (NYSE: UIS) has been selected as a technology services provider across all six lots within the UK Government Crown Commercial Service Technology Services 4 framework, according to a company statement.
The framework enables public sector organizations to procure technology partners for digital, operational and transformation services. Each service category is structured as a "lot" representing related technology capabilities.
Through the appointment, public sector organizations across central government, healthcare, local authorities and emergency services gain access to Unisys technology services through a streamlined procurement process.
The six service categories include technology strategy and service design, transition and service integration management, end user services, infrastructure management, application and data management, and major technology services transformation programs.
"Our representation across every TS4 category reflects what our UK public sector partners already know – Unisys offers comprehensive market-leading IT services, expertise, and end-to-end capabilities to modernize, citizen-centric services," said Michael Harounoff, senior sales director for EMEA at Unisys.
Crown Commercial Service reported achieving commercial benefits of £4.9 billion for the public sector from 2023 to 2024. To participate in the framework, Unisys completed a review process that included case studies and technical competence demonstrations across all six lots.
The selection follows the European Commission's choice of Unisys as part of the EU Cybersafe Consortium to deliver cybersecurity operations to 71 EU institutions under the Cybersecurity Professional Services Framework Contract.
