Swarmer receives $2.86 million contract for drone software licenses
Swarmer Inc. (NASDAQ: SWMR) announced that Meta Bureau LLC awarded its subsidiary, Swarmer Estonia OÜ, a contract valued at $2.86 million for more than 16,000 software licenses. The licenses will be installed on SkyKnight quadcopter bombers and other unmanned aerial vehicles.
The contract includes an option for Meta Bureau to upgrade certain licenses for an additional $10.4 million. The agreement covers two separate license allocations for Swarmer's complete platform, which includes the company's Operating System, Artificial Intelligence and User Interface components. A third allocation provides only the Operating System, which can be upgraded to the full software stack through over-the-air updates.
Swarmer develops drone autonomy software that allows single operators to control multiple autonomous platforms. The Estonia-based company states its technology has supported more than 100,000 combat missions in Ukraine since April 2024.
"Just like Meta Bureau, Swarmer's technology is battle-proven and able to work together seamlessly to save lives and protect property," said Serhii Kupriienko, Global CEO of Swarmer.
Meta Bureau manufactures the SkyKnight drone platform. A company spokesperson said the integration represents advancement in AI-enabled drone technology for battlefield applications.
The information is based on a press release statement from Swarmer.
