Faraday Future signs first data factory sales order
Faraday Future Intelligent Electric Inc. (NASDAQ: FFAI) announced its Data Factory Business Unit has signed its first sales order, according to a company statement.
The Data Factory operates as part of Faraday Future's "Three-in-One" strategy that includes Device, Brain, and Data components. The unit consists of Centralized and Decentralized components designed to process data for robot training purposes.
The Centralized Data Factory provides training data for the base version of the company's AI system, while the Decentralized Data Factory collects data from real-world robot deployments. The company states it uses a proprietary data engine to convert raw data into structured training materials.
"The formal establishment of the Data Factory is not just the realization of a key link within our 'Three-in-One' EAI ecosystem strategy," said Chris Chen, Co-CEO of FF AI-Robotics. "It also signals that FF is building core infrastructure for the Physical AI era."
Faraday Future completed the initial build-out of the Decentralized Data Factory within two months of launching the unit. The company plans to sell data externally to generate revenue beyond its internal ecosystem use.
The company stated it plans to develop capabilities for converting raw data into training data through post-processing and intends to open source select data capabilities at an undetermined future time.
Faraday Future describes itself as focusing on humanoid and bionic robots, as well as automotive-focused robots within the embodied AI robotics sector.
