WISeKey launches HUMAN-AI-T global movement for ethical AI governance

May 13, 2026 5:47 AM

WISeKey International Holding Ltd (NASDAQ: WKEY) announced the expansion of its HUMAN-AI-T initiative into a global movement following its launch at Davos 2026. The cybersecurity and digital identity company stated the initiative advocates for artificial intelligence that remains aligned with human values and democratic principles.

The HUMAN-AI-T Manifesto serves as an international framework designed to place humanity at the center of technological development. The initiative promotes AI systems that are transparent, respectful of privacy, and designed to prevent discrimination while remaining under human oversight.

A central component of the initiative is the development of the HUMAN-AI-T Knowledge Vault, which aims to preserve human knowledge sources including religious teachings, philosophical traditions, legal frameworks, and indigenous wisdom. The platform seeks to integrate diverse human experiences into AI learning environments.

The framework calls for AI that amplifies human potential rather than replacing human capabilities. WISeKey emphasizes that autonomous systems increasingly make decisions affecting large populations, requiring immediate global collaboration to establish safeguards.

"Humanity cannot delegate its destiny entirely to autonomous systems," said Carlos Moreira, founder and CEO of WISeKey. "As these technologies advance, we must embed our values, ethics, and collective wisdom into the technologies we create."

The initiative targets collaboration among governments, enterprises, universities, researchers, and civil society organizations to define ethical contracts for the AI era. WISeKey warns that emerging technologies could destabilize democratic systems and erode privacy without proper governance.

The company operates through several subsidiaries including SEALSQ Corp (NASDAQ: LAES), which focuses on semiconductors and post-quantum technology, and has deployed over 1.6 billion microchips across IoT sectors according to the announcement.
