Mayfair Gold names Adree DeLazzer VP exploration, Jean François Métail VP
Mayfair Gold Corp. (NYSE American: MINE) announced the appointment of Adree DeLazzer as Vice President, Exploration and Jean François Métail as Vice President Mineral Resource Management, according to a company statement.
DeLazzer, a professional geologist with 20 years of experience in mineral exploration and mine-site geology across Canada, most recently served as Vice President, Exploration at Northern Superior Resources Inc. In that role, she led corporate exploration strategy across the Chibougamau Gold Camp and oversaw multi-million-dollar exploration programs until the company's acquisition by IAMGOLD Corporation.
Previously, DeLazzer held senior technical roles with Kirkland Lake Gold Ltd. and Detour Gold Corporation, where she led exploration programs at the Detour Lake Mine and contributed to the 58N discovery team. At Mayfair, she will lead exploration activities across the company's expanded land package, including the South Block and recently acquired Plato properties, which increased the company's land position by more than 65%.
Métail brings more than 30 years of global experience in exploration, resource development, and production reconciliation. He spent 16 years at Barrick Gold as Director of Geology and Reserve Strategy, overseeing reserve stewardship and resource-to-reserve conversion across the company's global portfolio. From 2012 to 2017, he held senior leadership roles at Detour Gold, including Vice President, Exploration and Mineral Resources Management.
Mayfair Gold is developing the Fenn-Gib Project in the Timmins region of Northern Ontario. The company's 2026 Pre-Feasibility Study outlined initial development capital of C$450 million and a base-case payback period of 2.7 years. The company targets construction start in 2028 with initial production in 2030.
