3M shareholders approve board nominees and executive pay at annual meeting
3M Company (NYSE: MMM) shareholders approved all company-recommended proposals at the annual meeting held May 12, according to preliminary voting results.
Shareholders elected 10 directors for one-year terms, including Chairman and CEO William M. Brown. The board includes executives from various industries, such as David P. Bozeman from C.H. Robinson Worldwide, Thomas K. Brown formerly of Ford Motor Company, and James R. Fitterling from Dow Inc.
Other approved directors include Audrey Choi, former Morgan Stanley executive; Anne H. Chow, former AT&T Business CEO; Suzan Kereere from PayPal; Neil G. Mitchill Jr. from RTX Corporation; Pedro J. Pizarro from Edison International; and Thomas W. Sweet, former Dell Technologies CFO.
Shareholders also approved the appointment of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP as the company's independent registered public accounting firm for 2026. Additionally, they supported executive compensation on an advisory basis.
The St. Paul, Minnesota-based company stated it will file final voting results with the Securities and Exchange Commission on Form 8-K.
