S&P Global Energy launches AI-powered HorizonsAgents suite
S&P Global Energy (NYSE: SPGI) announced the launch of HorizonsAgents, a suite of four AI-powered agents designed to help financial institutions, investors, project developers and corporations analyze energy and sustainability data.
The announcement expands S&P Global Energy's agentic solutions following the November 2025 beta launch of its Transition Finance Agent. The HorizonsAgents suite includes four specialized agents: the Transition Finance Agent for benchmarking corporate decarbonization plans, a Data Center Intelligence Agent for evaluating energy infrastructure risks, a Sustainability Benchmarking Agent for peer comparison analysis, and a Net Zero Investment Agent for portfolio company engagement on climate risk.
"Our HorizonsAgents are purposefully designed to support analysis and decision making at the intersection of energy, finance and sustainability," said Leanne Todd, Head of Horizons at S&P Global Energy.
The agents integrate S&P Global Energy's proprietary datasets and are designed to generate analysis outputs within minutes. Thomas Yagel, Head of Sustainable1 at S&P Global Energy Horizons, said the tools aim to support faster origination and screening processes for clients.
The company stated that HorizonsAgents are designed to augment human capabilities rather than replace them, allowing professionals to focus on client strategy and investment decisions. S&P Global Energy said the suite aligns with global frameworks including the International Sustainability Standards Board standards.
S&P Global Energy is a division of S&P Global, which provides data and analytics services across multiple markets. The company's energy division offers pricing, research, sustainability solutions and industry events through its four core capabilities.
