Hewlett Packard Enterprise (NYSE: HPE) announced new GreenLake innovations across private cloud, storage and data protection solutions. The company introduced its fourth-generation HPE Private Cloud system that offers Kubernetes management for unified handling of virtual machines and containers on a single platform.

The new HPE Private Cloud system is built on HPE ProLiant Compute Gen12 and provides independent scaling for cloud-native workloads. Current HPE Private Cloud Business Edition customers can upgrade their software to manage both VMs and Kubernetes using existing infrastructure.

HPE expanded its storage offerings with the HPE Alletra Storage MP X10000, which now includes native file storage alongside existing object storage capabilities. The system scales to 16 nodes and 23PB raw capacity and offers a data availability guarantee. The X10000 will support remote direct memory access (RDMA) enabled file storage and delivers backup ingest performance of up to 2.5 PB/hour.

The HPE Alletra Storage MP B10000 received updates including real-time support that detects and resolves storage issues and a 5:1 data reduction guarantee. The system can now scale from four to six controller nodes for increased performance and fault tolerance.

HPE introduced AI capabilities across multiple products. HPE Data Fabric Software features policy-based data placement, a conversational interface and an AI assistant for natural language access. HPE Zerto Software now includes AI-powered data protection and integration with Microsoft Defender for threat visibility and recovery.

The fourth-generation HPE Private Cloud systems are available now. Support for unified VM and container management will be generally available in Q3 2026. File storage capabilities for the X10000 will be available in Q2 2026, with 16-node scaling and RDMA support coming in Q3 2026.
