NextTrip names Brad Buice as CTO, expands sales team for media growth
NextTrip Inc. (NASDAQ: NTRP) appointed Brad Buice as chief technology officer and expanded its global media sales force, the company announced.
Buice brings over 30 years of experience in enterprise technology and platform integration across the travel industry. He previously held senior leadership roles at Trisept Solutions, Apple Leisure Group, and Hyatt Corporation, where he worked on system integration and modernization following Hyatt's acquisition of Apple Leisure Group and Trisept.
At Trisept Solutions, Buice was involved with the VAX VacationAccess platform, which connects more than 100,000 travel advisors with over 50 travel suppliers. The platform enables advisors to research and book vacation packages, flights, hotels, and tours through a single integrated system.
Buice recently completed a certificate in Applied Agentic AI for Organizational Transformation at MIT. His appointment supports NextTrip's development of its NXT2.0 booking platform and Travel Magazine Pro advisor network.
"Brad's deep experience across travel technology, platform integration, and advisor ecosystems makes him a strong addition to our leadership team," said Bill Kerby, NextTrip's chief executive officer.
NextTrip also hired four travel advertising sales executives to expand its media monetization capabilities. The company is consolidating its JOURNY streaming platform and integrating recently acquired GoUSA TV content and distribution assets.
Kerby stated the expanded reach covers dozens of platforms in approximately 80 countries, with expected broadcasts to approximately 250 million connected TV, mobile and online viewers globally in 2026.
NextTrip operates travel media platforms including JOURNY.tv and TravelMagazine.com, along with booking technology and luxury hotel platform Five Star Alliance.
