YipitData partners with Ulta Beauty for data-driven merchandising insights

YipitData announced a partnership with Ulta Beauty (NASDAQ: ULTA) to provide market intelligence for merchandising and assortment decisions. The collaboration gives Ulta Beauty access to near real-time data on shopper behavior, competitive performance, and category trends across the beauty market.

Through the partnership, Ulta Beauty uses YipitData's insights to inform merchandising strategies, support customer loyalty initiatives, and gain understanding of consumer behavior beyond its own retail channels. The data provider offers retailers visibility into category trends, brand performance, and competitive market shifts.

"Maintaining a strong understanding of how shoppers engage with the broader beauty landscape is an important part of how we evolve our assortment and support our brand partners," said Penny Coy, SVP Merchandising Skincare and Haircare at Ulta Beauty.

YipitData serves over 650 customers including institutional investors and Fortune 100 companies. The company has received more than $500 million in investments from Carlyle (NASDAQ: CG) and Norwest Venture Partners, with a valuation exceeding $1 billion.

Ulta Beauty operates approximately 1,500 stores across the United States and describes itself as the largest specialty beauty retailer in the country. The company also has international operations through a joint venture in Mexico, franchise locations in the Middle East, and its Space NK subsidiary in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
