Fortinet integrates FortiAIGate with NVIDIA platforms for AI security

May 12, 2026 9:00 AM

Fortinet (NASDAQ: FTNT) announced an integration of its FortiAIGate solution with NVIDIA's AI platforms and software technologies. The joint solution aims to protect AI workloads, data, and autonomous agents in real-time across data centers and cloud environments.

FortiAIGate provides security guardrails for large language models at runtime and protects associated infrastructure including MCP servers and AI agents. The solution operates using NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs, NVIDIA Hopper architecture, and the NVIDIA Dynamo inference-serving framework.

The integration enables inline deployment between applications and AI models to provide visibility while supporting data sovereignty requirements. The solution monitors user and device interactions and logs prompts and responses during suspicious incidents.

"Enterprises everywhere are racing to adopt AI, and security has become a critical enabler of that innovation," said John Whittle, Chief Operating Officer at Fortinet. "Together with NVIDIA, we're delivering a solution that helps organizations secure and optimize AI deployments while maintaining performance, controlling costs, and meeting data sovereignty requirements."

Justin Boitano, Vice President of Enterprise AI Platforms at NVIDIA, stated that "by integrating its FortiAIGate solution with the full-stack NVIDIA AI platform, Fortinet provides zero-trust security and real-time governance, reducing threat exposure by shortening response times."

FortiAIGate supports deployment across on-premises, cloud, hybrid, and edge environments. The solution is available as a GPU-powered appliance for data centers or as a virtual appliance or containers on NVIDIA-Certified Systems. The solution uses NVIDIA Multi-Instance GPU technology to partition resources and isolate different AI workloads on shared hardware.

The solution applies zero-trust security principles to AI environments, managing AI model traffic and enforcing guardrails on inputs and outputs to block threats such as prompt injection attacks and filter unauthorized content generated by AI systems.
