SurgePays launches 25,000 user pilot for Alpha Cash mobile wallet
SurgePays Inc. (NASDAQ: SURG) announced a pilot program to integrate the Alpha Cash mobile wallet across its distribution network under an agreement with Alpha Modus Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ: AMOD). The pilot targets 25,000 funded activations to test monetizing SurgePays' subprime consumer base.
The program offers SurgePays $10 per qualifying activation from a $250,000 bounty pool, plus a 10% revenue share on net revenue from each enrolled wallet user for five years. Users must fund their wallets with at least $25 to qualify as an activation.
SurgePays operates three distribution channels: a point-of-sale platform across approximately 9,000 convenience stores, prepaid wireless brands LinkUp Mobile and Torch Wireless, and the ProgramBenefits.com platform. The company plans to begin the rollout through ProgramBenefits.com before expanding to other channels.
The pilot will evaluate optimal payment structures, revenue share rates, and the impact on customer acquisition costs when additional products are offered to existing wireless customers. Initial activations are targeted to begin in the second half of 2026.
"The opportunity in front of this Company is to put more life-enhancing products in front of every subprime consumer who flows through those channels," said Brian Cox, chief executive officer of SurgePays.
Any expansion beyond the 25,000 activation cap requires a new agreement between the companies. SurgePays will discuss the pilot during its first quarter 2026 earnings call scheduled for May 15, 2026.
The information is based on a company press release statement.
