Lantronix Inc. (NASDAQ: LTRX) introduced the xPico 600 series, embedded gateway modules that combine Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth Low Energy 5.4, and cloud management capabilities in a single unit for industrial Internet of Things applications.

The modules integrate with Lantronix's Percepxion cloud platform to provide zero-touch provisioning, remote lifecycle management and real-time device telemetry. The xPico 600 series operates in temperatures ranging from -40°C to +85°C and includes dual-band 802.11ax Wi-Fi 6 and Ethernet connectivity.

The product includes Lantronix's InfiniShield security framework, which provides secure boot, firmware integrity validation, encrypted firmware updates, and role-based access control. The modules support transparent pass-through of serial and fieldbus protocols through the company's TruPort technology.

"Wi-Fi 6 is in the sweet spot for the next wave of cost-sensitive IoT products," said Mathi Gurusamy, chief strategy officer at Lantronix. "By delivering a production-ready platform engineered for next-generation technology today, we are helping our OEM customers innovate faster, streamline device lifecycle management and build a defensible competitive edge."

The modules can function as network co-processors or standalone wireless microcontroller units. They support concurrent Soft AP and client modes and include automatic network connection management. The xPico 600 series has received global certifications in the United States, Canada, European Union, Japan, Taiwan, China and India.

Target applications include industrial automation, smart energy systems, medical devices, smart cities, agriculture and retail systems. The xPico 600 series is available now, according to the company's press release statement.
