CGI Inc. (NYSE: GIB) announced the appointment of Tim Hurlebaus as President and Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. Hurlebaus also joins the company's Board of Directors.

Hurlebaus previously served as President and Chief Operating Officer for two years, overseeing CGI's operations in the United States, United Kingdom and Australia. These markets collectively represent nearly half of the company's annual revenue.

The appointment follows the retirement of François Boulanger, who served as CEO and spent 30 years at CGI during a 40-year career in the IT services industry.

"With more than 35 years of experience in IT consulting services, Tim has been a champion of CGI's client proximity model, ownership culture and values," said Julie Godin, Executive Chair of the Board.

Hurlebaus began his career at CGI as a developer and consultant. He previously led the company's business and growth strategies across the U.S., UK, Europe and Asia across commercial and government sectors. Before his COO role, Hurlebaus led CGI's strategic business units serving U.S. clients.

"For many years, Tim was identified by the Board as an innovative executive with the depth and breadth of business experience necessary to succeed in leading CGI," said Serge Godin, CGI Founder and Co-Chair of the Board.

CGI reported fiscal 2025 revenue of CA$15.91 billion. The Montreal-based company was founded in 1976 and employs 94,000 consultants and professionals globally, providing IT and business consulting services including systems integration, managed services and intellectual property solutions.
