Elbit Systems wins $212 million U.S. Army night vision goggle contract

May 12, 2026 5:27 AM

Elbit Systems of America received a $212 million delivery order from the U.S. Army for continued production of Enhanced Night Vision Goggle - Binocular systems, with deliveries scheduled through 2028.

The contract represents a shift in the Army's procurement approach, as Elbit Systems of America was selected as the sole prime supplier for this delivery order. The Army has historically divided ENVG-B production among multiple vendors.

The ENVG-B systems combine high-resolution image intensification with thermal imaging technology, enabling soldiers to detect and engage threats in low-light conditions. The systems also support augmented reality overlays and passive targeting capabilities.

Elbit Systems Ltd. (NASDAQ: ESLT) announced the award through its U.S. subsidiary, Elbit Systems of America - Night Vision LLC. The parent company reported revenues of $7.9 billion for 2025 and maintains an order backlog of $28.1 billion.

"The continuation of orders under the program originally awarded in 2023 is a strong testament to the performance and trust placed in our systems," said Bezhalel Machlis, president and CEO of Elbit Systems.

The award builds on an existing program that began in 2023, indicating ongoing military investment in advanced night vision technology for ground forces.
