NextHome opens two Southern California offices with 200 agents
NextHome launched two new Southern California offices through its large-office franchise model, marking the first locations to join following eXp World Holdings' acquisition of the real estate franchise.
The offices, NextHome Coastal Estates in Oxnard and NextHome Central Coast in Pismo Beach, launched with nearly 200 agents serving California's Central Coast and Ventura County markets. Albert Meggers owns both locations, with Jay Peet leading the Pismo Beach office and Omar Velazquez heading the Oxnard location.
Meggers brings more than 20 years of real estate business development experience. He previously helped introduce a national real estate franchise to the Los Angeles market in 2006, later expanding operations throughout Central California. His previous company grew to operate 14 offices with more than 1,200 agents.
"Real estate is going through a period of punctuated change, and we have a voice in shaping the future based on who we affiliate with," Meggers stated in the press release.
NextHome's large-office model provides brokerages with multiple technology options under a single agreement, allowing operators to select structures that align with their business needs. The model aims to reduce operational overlap and simplify brokerage systems.
NextHome operates as a subsidiary of eXp World Holdings (NASDAQ: AGNT), which also owns eXp Realty, FrameVR.io, and SUCCESS Enterprises. The company serves markets across the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Asia Pacific, and South Africa.
James Dwiggins, President of NextHome, said the launch demonstrates the potential when experienced operators partner with the franchise model.
