The Physician Association of California and Astrana Health Inc. (NASDAQ: ASTH) announced a collaboration to provide independent primary care physicians access to Astrana's Medicare Accountable Care Organization platform.

The partnership will offer PAC physicians care coordination, population health infrastructure, and value-based care capabilities through Astrana's Medicare ACO programs. PAC represents over 15,000 independent and small-practice physicians in California.

Under the collaboration, participating PAC physicians will receive enhanced ACO participation pathways, care management programs, analytics and performance insights, operational support, and revenue opportunities including incentives and shared savings tied to performance.

"This collaboration with Astrana Health will help give physicians in private practice the tools they need to serve their Medicare beneficiaries more effectively and affordably," said Matthew Robinson, CEO of the Physician Association of California.

Astrana operates four ACOs in 2026 across Medicare Shared Savings Program and REACH programs, serving over 75,000 beneficiaries. The company reports delivering positive gross shared savings for 12 consecutive years.

"We are excited to partner with the Physician Association of California to support the independent primary care physicians who are the backbone of our healthcare system," said Brandon Sim, CEO of Astrana Health.

The Physician Association of California was established in 2023 as a trade association focused on independent and small-practice physicians. Astrana Health supports more than 20,000 providers and approximately 1.55 million patients in value-based care arrangements.
