Hasbro delays quarterly report filing due to cybersecurity breach
Hasbro Inc. (NASDAQ: HAS) filed a notification with securities regulators stating it cannot submit its quarterly report for the period ended March 29, 2026, within the required timeframe due to a cybersecurity incident.
The toy maker discovered unauthorized access to its network on March 28, 2026, according to the filing. The company activated security response protocols, took certain systems offline, and launched an investigation with third-party cybersecurity professionals.
Hasbro stated the unauthorized access has been contained and the company is working to restore its systems and operations. The cybersecurity incident caused delays in compiling information needed to complete the quarterly report but did not impact the company's financial results for the first quarter.
The company expects to file its Form 10-Q within the additional time provided under securities regulations. Hasbro previously disclosed the cybersecurity incident in reports filed on April 1, 2026, and April 23, 2026.
Based on preliminary information, Hasbro now expects its first-quarter results to exceed the high end of previously disclosed ranges. The company had previously estimated revenue of approximately $970 million to $985 million and operating profit of approximately $235 million to $245 million for the quarter.
Complete financial results will be reported when the company files its quarterly report, according to the regulatory filing.
