F5 Inc. (NASDAQ: FFIV) announced expanded collaboration with Red Hat to deliver new security solutions for Kubernetes applications and artificial intelligence workloads.

The company introduced F5 WAF for NGINX on NGINX Gateway Fabric, which provides Layer 7 protection for Kubernetes-native workflows in Red Hat OpenShift environments. The solution is available through a certified Red Hat OpenShift Operator and delivers OWASP Top 10 coverage and API security through security-as-code workflows.

F5 also launched an AI quickstart program designed for Red Hat OpenShift AI that provides pre-built blueprints for organizations to deploy AI workflows. The quickstart framework enables enterprises to implement validated chatbot architectures for handling sensitive data across various industries.

"Kubernetes and AI are reshaping application security, and F5 is meeting these challenges head-on," said John Maddison, Chief Marketing Officer at F5. The executive noted that the collaboration with Red Hat OpenShift AI accelerates secure AI innovation with pre-validated blueprints for solutions including F5 AI Guardrails.

The new offerings extend the capabilities of F5's Application Delivery and Security Platform in Red Hat OpenShift environments. F5 positions the solutions as addressing critical needs in Kubernetes-native application protection, AI-powered application security, and IT modernization.

The collaboration builds on F5's existing partnership with Red Hat, with both companies focusing on open standards, enterprise security, and scalable architectures. The solutions are designed to integrate with existing DevOps workflows while maintaining compatibility with open standards.

F5 describes itself as a global provider of application delivery and security solutions, serving organizations across on-premises, cloud, edge, and hybrid multicloud environments.
