Emerson launches AspenTech AVA industrial AI platform
Emerson (NYSE: EMR) introduced the AspenTech AVA AI platform designed for industrial companies to accelerate AI adoption across enterprise operations. The platform combines artificial intelligence capabilities with domain-specific industrial expertise to support operational decision-making.
The platform integrates decades of Emerson industrial knowledge and first-principles models into operational workflows while using large language models. AVA operates on the AspenTech Inmation Data Platform, which organizes operational technology data across cloud, edge and on-premise environments.
"AVA provides a practical way to accelerate AI adoption to deliver repeatable, scalable operational impact," said Claudio Fayad, chief technology officer at Emerson's Aspen Technology business. "By orchestrating AI across operations, AVA enables teams to act faster, develop more informed strategies and improve reliability."
The platform launches with four operational optimization and decision-support advisors. AVA embeds AI-assisted decision support directly into operational workflows and is designed to work with existing automation infrastructure without disrupting established processes.
Emerson offers AspenTech.ai, a web-based interactive experience where industry professionals can engage with AVA and examine AI-assisted decision-support use cases. The platform aims to support both current operations and next-generation digital-native professionals entering operational roles.
The announcement was made from Houston on May 11, 2026, according to a press release statement. Emerson is headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri.
