Samsara establishes 2026 public sector customer advisory board
Samsara Inc. (NYSE: IOT) announced the formation of its 2026 Public Sector Customer Advisory Board, comprising leaders from municipal fleets, state transportation departments, utilities, and airports across the United States.
The board includes officials from the City of Boston, City of Houston, City of Kansas City, City of Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, City of New Orleans, Dallas Fort Worth International Airport, Los Angeles County Fire Department, Nebraska Department of Transportation, Road Commission of Kalamazoo County, Santee Cooper, State of South Carolina, and State of Tennessee.
According to the company's press release, the advisory board has contributed to product development including a fuel theft detection alert system that provides real-time notifications when sudden drops in fuel levels are detected. The board also provided input on Weather Intelligence, a system designed to help organizations predict and adapt to weather-related disruptions.
"Public sector organizations face high-stakes and visible challenges that technology isn't always built for," said Shelita White, Operations Chief of Staff at the City of New Orleans, in the press release.
Ben Calderon, CTO of Hardware and Operations at Samsara, stated that public sector organizations "operate with constrained budgets and aging infrastructure, yet must deliver vital services to their communities every day."
The board will guide development of new solutions that Samsara plans to unveil at its Go Beyond Public Sector event. The company describes itself as the pioneer of the Connected Operations Platform and serves tens of thousands of customers across North America and Europe.
