Celanese raises prices on acetyl chain products globally

Celanese Corporation (NYSE: CE) announced price increases across its acetyl product portfolio, effective immediately or as contracts allow, according to a company statement.

The Dallas-based chemical and specialty materials company detailed specific price adjustments for various products across different regions. In the United States and Canada, price increases range from $0.02 per pound for VAE-based dispersions to $0.20 per pound for EVA, RDP, MIBC, and MIBK products.

For Mexico and South America, the company implemented increases from $100 per metric ton for acetic acid to $450 per metric ton for MIBC and MIBK. In the Europe, Middle East and Africa region, price adjustments span from 100 euros per metric ton for acetic acid and ethyl acetate to 400 euros per metric ton for RDP and MIBK.

The price increases affect multiple product categories including acetic acid, vinyl acetate monomer, ethyl acetate, acetic anhydride, various dispersions, EVA, formaldehyde products, methylamines, and solvents. Some products like formaldehyde and methylamines are not subject to price increases in all regions.

Celanese reported 2025 net sales of $9.5 billion and employs more than 11,000 people worldwide. The company produces specialty materials used across major industries and consumer applications.
