Safe Pro Group selected for U.S. Army combat training exercise
Safe Pro Group Inc. (NASDAQ: SPAI) announced it will participate in a U.S. Army Force-on-Force combat training exercise scheduled for the second quarter of 2026. The company will train soldiers and demonstrate its SPOTD Edge AI battlefield threat detection system during the exercise.
The Force-on-Force exercise will showcase Safe Pro's NODE-X system, which combines real-time AI threat detection, 3D terrain mapping, and automated route planning. The backpack-sized system operates without internet connectivity and integrates with U.S. Army-approved Short-Range Reconnaissance drones.
Safe Pro's SPOTD technology uses AI algorithms trained on what the company describes as 2.75 million drone images and 49,500 confirmed detections. The system can identify more than 150 types of explosive threats including landmines, cluster munitions, and unexploded ordnance.
This selection follows Safe Pro's participation in a U.S. Army active minefield exercise where the company's AI-driven drone imagery analysis platform assisted in battlefield decision-making and operational planning.
The NODE-X system generates orthomosaics, digital surface models, and incorporates vegetation height and terrain slope data. The technology is designed to work with commercially available drone hardware for deployment across military, government and humanitarian applications.
Safe Pro Group develops AI-enabled defense, security, and situational awareness solutions. The company's platform operates on Amazon Web Services and targets commercial, government, law enforcement, and humanitarian sectors.
