Amcor receives China lab accreditation for global market access

May 11, 2026 7:03 AM

Amcor (NYSE: AMCR) announced its Asia Pacific Innovation Center laboratory in China has received accreditation from the China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment.

The accreditation allows the packaging company's laboratory to generate test data recognized across 116 countries, according to the company's press release statement. CNAS serves as China's national accreditation body for testing and calibration laboratories, following international standards for technical competence and quality management.

The certification process required an 18-to-24-month evaluation period. With the accreditation, Amcor's laboratory can now provide data validation that streamlines regulatory approval and market access for customers operating internationally.

"Becoming CNAS accredited means our customers don't have to second-guess the data — it's recognized wherever they operate," said Ludmila Fidale, Vice President of Research and Development at Amcor.

The accreditation enables the laboratory to accelerate compliance pathways for multinational and regional customers, develop certification approaches for emerging markets, and deliver data-driven innovation supporting packaging performance.

Amcor operates over 400 locations in more than 40 countries and employs over 75,000 people. The company generates $23 billion in annualized sales from its packaging solutions business across nutrition, health, beauty and wellness categories.
