Broadridge launches AI agents for capital markets operations
Broadridge Financial Solutions (NYSE: BR) announced the deployment of artificial intelligence agents across capital markets and wealth management operations. The company said the AI software can autonomously analyze and resolve operational exceptions without human instruction.
The technology is available through two models: full managed services where Broadridge operates end-to-end workflows, or as a standalone platform that integrates into client infrastructure. According to the press release, new clients can achieve up to 30% operational cost reduction.
Broadridge said its AI capabilities have been tested in production across more than 40 clients since 2024, processing millions of operational transactions monthly. The system handles post-trade operations, account management, and client services workflows.
"We believe the firms that lead in the next era of financial services will be the ones that embed AI directly into the way work gets done," said Tom Carey, President of Broadridge's Global Technology & Operations business.
The AI agents perform tasks including automated trade fails management, account opening workflows, real-time valuation exception handling, and customer inquiry automation. All processes operate under human supervision to maintain regulatory compliance and oversight.
The company's platform operates on what it describes as a completed financial services data ontology, drawing from more than 60 years of operational experience and $15 trillion in daily trading activity. Broadridge processes billions of transactions annually across multiple asset classes.
The platform integrates through open-standard APIs, allowing firms to deploy Broadridge workflows or connect their own systems. Broadridge indicated it may make elements of its data ontology available as an industry resource.
Broadridge employs over 15,000 associates across 21 countries and processes over 7 billion communications annually while supporting daily trading of over $15 trillion in securities globally.
