Goliath Resources appoints Alan Edwards to advisory board
Goliath Resources Limited (TSX-V: GOT) (OTCQX: GOTRF) (Frankfurt: B4IF) announced the appointment of Alan Edwards to its advisory board, according to a company press release.
Edwards brings over 40 years of experience in the global mining industry, spanning project development, operations, and executive leadership across both open pit and underground mining operations for gold and base metal assets.
His previous roles include positions at Detour Gold Corporation, Freeport McMoRan where he served as Senior Vice President Operations managing operations at P.T. Freeport Indonesia including the Grasberg operations, and Kinross Gold Corporation as Vice President Operations where he led the Phase 6 expansion of the Fort Knox mine in Alaska.
Edwards currently serves or has served on boards of several mining companies including as Chairman of Valor Gold, and board positions at Entrée Resources Ltd., Mason Resources Corp., AQM Copper Inc., and AuRico Gold Corp.
The company granted Edwards 250,000 stock options priced at $1.79 per share for a five-year period which vest immediately, and 210,000 restricted share units that will vest equally over three years. The grants are subject to the company's omnibus equity incentive plan.
Goliath Resources operates precious metals projects in British Columbia's Golden Triangle, including its Golddigger Project which hosts the Surebet Gold Discovery. The company completed a 64,364-meter drill campaign in 2025 and plans a similar-sized program for 2026 targeting approximately 50,000 meters of drilling.
The company's shareholders include Crescat Capital, Global Commodity Group, McEwen Inc. (NYSE: MUX) (TSX: MUX), Waratah Capital Advisors, Rob McEwen, Eric Sprott and Larry Childress.
