Goliath Resources adds mining engineer Alan Edwards to advisory board
Goliath Resources Limited (TSX-V: GOT) (OTCQX: GOTRF) (Frankfurt: B4IF) announced the appointment of Alan Edwards to its advisory board, according to a company press release.
Edwards brings more than 40 years of experience in the global mining industry, including project development, operations, and executive leadership roles. His background spans both open pit and underground mining across gold and base metal assets.
Edwards previously held senior positions at major mining companies including Detour Gold Corporation, where he served on the board of directors, Freeport McMoRan as Senior Vice President Operations managing the Grasberg operations, and Kinross Gold Corporation as Vice President Operations where he led the Phase 6 expansion of the Fort Knox mine in Alaska.
The mining engineer has served as chairman of several mining companies including Valor Gold, Entrée Resources Ltd., Mason Resources Corp., AQM Copper Inc., and AuRico Gold Corp.
The company granted Edwards 250,000 stock options priced at $1.79 per share for a five-year period, which vest immediately, and 210,000 restricted share units that vest equally over three years. The grants are subject to the company's omnibus equity incentive plan.
Goliath Resources operates precious metals projects in British Columbia's Golden Triangle, including its Golddigger Project that hosts the Surebet Gold Discovery. The company plans a 50,000-meter drill program in 2026 focused on expanding the discovery both laterally and at depth.
The company completed 64,364 meters of drilling in 2025 and reports being fully funded for a similar-sized drill program in 2026.
