Cascades shareholders elect 11 directors at annual meeting
Cascades Inc. (TSX: CAS) held its annual general meeting of shareholders on May 8, 2026, where all 11 proposed director candidates were elected by majority vote.
The voting results showed varying levels of support among the directors. Mélanie Dunn received the highest approval rate at 99.46% of votes cast, followed by Nelson Gentiletti at 99.48% and Elif Lévesque at 99.47%. Michelle Cormier received the lowest approval rate among the elected directors at 95.01%.
The complete slate of elected directors includes Alain Lemaire (96.07% approval), Sylvie Lemaire (95.02%), Sylvie Vachon (96.03%), Hugues Simon (96.75%), Patrick Lemaire (95.67%), Hubert T. Lacroix (96.39%), and Alex N. Blanco (98.80%).
Cascades stated that final voting results on all matters considered at the annual meeting will be filed with Canadian Securities Regulators, according to the company's press release.
The Quebec-based company manufactures packaging and hygiene products and operates approximately 60 production facilities across North America with about 9,000 employees. Cascades shares trade on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
