Sun Life elects 13 directors at annual shareholder meeting
Sun Life Financial Inc. (NYSE: SLF) announced that shareholders elected all 13 director nominees at the company's annual meeting held May 6, 2026, according to a company statement.
The elected directors include Deepak Chopra, Stephanie L. Coyles, Patrick P.F. Cronin, Ashok K. Gupta, David H.Y. Ho, Laurie G. Hylton, Stacey A. Madge, Helen M. Mallovy Hicks, Marcia Moffat, Marie-Lucie Morin, Joseph M. Natale, Scott F. Powers, and Kevin D. Strain.
Voting results showed strong shareholder support, with most nominees receiving approval rates above 99%. Marcia Moffat received the highest support at 99.8% of votes cast, while Joseph M. Natale received the lowest at 97.9%.
The Toronto-based financial services company reported having $1.58 trillion in total assets under management as of March 31, 2026. Sun Life operates in multiple markets including Canada, the United States, United Kingdom, Ireland, Hong Kong, Philippines, Japan, Indonesia, India, China, Australia, Singapore, Vietnam, Malaysia and Bermuda.
