XTEND secures $2.2 million Middle East defense contract
XTEND, an artificial intelligence-powered robotics company, announced it secured a $2.2 million contract from a defense customer in the Middle East for autonomous aerial defense systems development.
The contract focuses on countering evolving airborne threats through next-generation capabilities. The customer and operational details remain undisclosed due to the program's nature.
"This program reflects the growing need for advanced aerial defense capabilities to address increasingly complex airborne threats," said Aviv Shapira, Co-founder and CEO of XTEND. "Defense organizations are facing a new class of challenges that require autonomous, real-time response, and we are developing systems designed to meet that need."
XTEND's systems operate on its proprietary XOS operating system, designed for human-guided autonomy and real-time mission execution. The platform integrates with sensors and systems for coordinated operations in counter-UAS and aerial defense scenarios.
The agreement represents XTEND's expansion into autonomous aerial defense and counter-UAS mission domains. The company reports over 10,000 systems deployed across more than 30 countries, with operational validation in five combat zones.
JFB Construction Holdings (NASDAQ: JFB) announced in February a definitive agreement to combine with XTEND in an all-stock transaction. The combined company will be renamed XTEND AI Robotics and trade under the ticker "XTND" on a U.S. national securities exchange following completion.
XTEND operates manufacturing facilities in the U.S., U.K., Singapore, Israel, and Latvia, delivering solutions through its global network. The company is headquartered in Tampa, Florida, with origins in Tel Aviv, Israel.
