UFC launches subscription package for bars and restaurants
UFC and Joe Hand Promotions announced a new subscription package called Championship Rounds for commercial establishments in the United States. The package combines UFC events with content from Zuffa Boxing, UFC BJJ, and Power Slap into a single offering for bars and restaurants.
The subscription includes 13 UFC numbered events and 30 Fight Nights annually, along with programming from the other combat sports organizations. According to the announcement, subscribers receive more than 25 hours of live UFC content monthly, compared to approximately three hours from a single pay-per-view event.
Joe Hand Promotions serves as UFC's exclusive commercial distributor throughout the United States. The company has distributed combat sports programming for over 50 years to sports bars, restaurants, casinos, military bases, and universities.
"This new Championship Rounds package represents a significant evolution in how we deliver UFC and other combat sports events to our commercials partners and the fans who consume our content out-of-home," said David Shaw, Executive Vice President, Head of International & Content at UFC.
The package aims to provide year-round programming without an off-season. UFC survey data indicates that UFC programming typically attracts groups of 3-5 customers who remain engaged during broadcasts, with 88% returning to establishments on non-UFC nights.
The next event available through the service will be UFC 328: Chimaev vs. Strickland on May 9 at Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. The main card features Khamzat Chimaev defending his middleweight championship against Sean Strickland.
Commercial establishments can contact Joe Hand Promotions to schedule events at their locations. UFC is part of TKO Group Holdings (NYSE: TKO) and is headquartered in Las Vegas, Nevada.
