Virtuix forms committee to pursue defense training acquisitions
Virtuix Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ: VTIX) announced its Board of Directors has established a special committee to evaluate potential acquisitions in the defense training and simulation industry. The committee is reviewing multiple acquisition opportunities, including companies in advanced-stage discussions that could provide access to government contract vehicles and recurring defense revenues between $10 million and $50 million.
The Austin-based virtual reality systems developer said the initiative aims to accelerate revenue growth and expand its government contract access. The company is prioritizing acquisitions that could boost revenue scale in 2026 and enhance its position in AI-driven immersive training solutions.
Virtuix has existing contracts with multiple branches of the U.S. military. The company has sold systems to the U.S. Army and Air Force, entered into a development agreement with the U.S. Navy, and was selected as lead integrator for developing a VR training system for the U.S. Marine Corps.
"We are seeing increasing demand for immersive and AI-enhanced training solutions across the defense sector, and we believe strategic acquisitions can significantly accelerate our revenue scale and government contracting capabilities," said Jan Goetgeluk, Chief Executive Officer of Virtuix. "Given our current revenue multiple, we believe a transaction would be highly accretive to our shareholders."
The company plans to provide additional details on its acquisition strategy during an investor webinar scheduled for May 8, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. ET. Virtuix stated there is no assurance it will identify or complete any acquisition on favorable terms.
The information is based on a company press release.
