Kyndryl extends partnership with Arizona Motor Vehicle Division

May 7, 2026 9:02 AM

Kyndryl (NYSE: KD) and the Arizona Department of Transportation Motor Vehicle Division announced an expanded partnership to continue modernizing the state's motor vehicle services. The agreement extends their existing systems modernization collaboration.

Under the expanded partnership, Kyndryl will deliver new capabilities including mobile and remote services, enhanced field office operations, and streamlined transactions for residents. The company will support digitization of Arizona MVD's mail-based operations, service desk, and expansion of business-to-business services for dealers, fleets, motor carriers and insurance companies.

Kyndryl will continue managing Arizona MVD's field office technology, kiosks, payment systems, application support and cloud infrastructure operations. The partnership includes expansion of the TeleMVD program, which extends services beyond traditional field offices to reach communities with limited access.

"This renewal reflects AZ MVD's confidence in Kyndryl as a long-term strategic partner," said Mike Cryderman, Motor Vehicle Division Director at Arizona Department of Transportation. "Together, we are modernizing services that millions of Arizonans rely on – reducing friction, expanding access, and supporting residents in completing essential transactions reliably whether they live in urban centers or rural communities."

Arizona was the first state to deploy Kyndryl's MAX platform, according to the company. The Arizona Department of Transportation Motor Vehicle Division processed 15 million transactions during the previous fiscal year, with nearly half conducted online.

The partnership aims to improve service delivery in rural areas by enabling connectivity and security to reach underserved areas across Arizona's geography.
