May 7, 2026 8:45 AM

Protolabs (NYSE: PRLB) appointed Bernardo Parlange as chief commercial officer, effective May 18, 2026, according to a company statement. The digital manufacturing services provider created the role to oversee global commercial strategy, including sales, marketing, and customer success.

Parlange brings over 20 years of experience leading B2B industrial commercial teams. He most recently served as senior vice president of sales and marketing at Fortrex, a Blackstone portfolio company focused on food safety and hygiene solutions. Prior to that, he spent 14 years at Ecolab in various leadership roles and worked for a decade at ZF Group in project management and engineering positions.

In his new role, Parlange will focus on strengthening relationships with large strategic customers and accelerating revenue performance across all segments. He will also support efforts to enhance customer experience and expand production offerings.

"Bernardo is an exceptional commercial leader who knows how to build and scale high-performing revenue organizations," said Suresh Krishna, president and CEO of Protolabs.

The company also announced the planned retirement of Mike Kenison, chief operations officer, effective July 1, 2026. Kenison joined Protolabs in 2006 and held several senior operational leadership roles during his tenure. Under his leadership, the company expanded to four manufacturing services, nine global factories, and more than 1 million square feet of manufacturing space.

The leadership changes come as Minneapolis-based Protolabs continues to advance its growth strategy in the digital manufacturing sector.
