Draganfly signs exclusive deal to distribute ACSL drones in Canada
Draganfly Inc. (NASDAQ: DPRO) has signed an exclusive master distributor agreement with ACSL to bring the Japanese drone manufacturer's technology to the Canadian market. The partnership includes technology integration between the companies' drone platforms.
As part of the agreement, Draganfly will distribute ACSL's SOTEN drone platform in Canada starting in June 2026. The SOTEN is a compact, multi-mission drone with swappable payloads and secure architecture. It offers four camera options including a 20MP sensor camera, dual thermal-optical system, multi-spectral option, and optical zoom camera.
The collaboration aims to create interoperability between certain Draganfly drones, including the Apex and Commander 3XL models, and ACSL's camera payloads. Users will be able to control both companies' platforms through ACSL's TAITEN ground control station, which features a 7-inch screen and IP54-rated design.
ACSL describes itself as Japan's largest drone manufacturer, while Draganfly has been developing drone solutions for over 25 years. The partnership comes as Canada's commercial drone market is projected to reach $10 billion by 2030, according to the press release.
"We've seen significant adoption of the ACSL platform in the US and we're excited to bring this technology to the Canadian drone market," said Cynthia Huang, CEO of ACSL Inc.
Cameron Chell, CEO of Draganfly, stated that ACSL "stands out as the strongest partner in this segment to integrate with our OEM product line."
The SOTEN platform will complement Draganfly's existing portfolio, which includes drones supporting payloads from 6.6 to over 100 pounds. Information in this article is based on the companies' press release.
