SenesTech names Michael Edell as CEO after serving as interim COO
SenesTech, Inc. (NASDAQ: SNES) appointed Michael Edell as president and chief executive officer effective May 6, 2026, the company announced. Edell previously served as interim chief operating officer since October 2025.
Edell began working with SenesTech in mid-2025 as a consultant to evaluate the business and develop a strategic plan. During his tenure as interim COO, he streamlined operations, prioritized direct-to-consumer revenue, and restructured the company's business-to-business processes. He also led the transition to directly managing Amazon sales of the Evolve brand products.
"Michael has demonstrated a highly disciplined and execution-focused approach during his time as Interim Chief Operating Officer," said Matthew Szot, chair of SenesTech's board.
The company will not replace Edell's former interim COO role as part of organizational streamlining efforts.
SenesTech also announced board leadership changes. Dr. Jamie Bechtel will transition from board chair and conclude her role as interim executive chair. She will continue serving on the board as chair of the nominating and corporate governance committee and compensation committee. Szot was appointed board chair.
SenesTech develops pest control solutions including Evolve rodent birth control products. The company markets its products through direct-to-consumer channels, e-commerce platforms including Amazon, and business-to-business channels including distributors and pest management professionals.
