Micropolis Robotics secures $1.2 million contract with EMSTEEL
Micropolis AI Robotics (NYSE: MCRP) announced a $1.2 million agreement with EMSTEEL to deploy four M01 autonomous logistics robots at the steel manufacturer's facilities. The UAE-based robotics company will develop, certify, and deploy the robots through a phased implementation process.
EMSTEEL is described as one of the largest publicly traded steel and building materials manufacturers in the region. The deployment agreement includes validation, application development, certification, and production phases.
The M01 robots will handle autonomous material movement and logistics operations within EMSTEEL's industrial environment. The agreement also covers deployment of Micropolis' fleet management infrastructure and AI platform for mission execution and monitoring.
"Autonomous robotics is rapidly evolving from a future concept into critical industrial infrastructure," said Fareed Aljawhari, CEO of Micropolis Robotics. "As industries become more complex, resource-intensive, and data-driven, the ability to deploy intelligent autonomous systems at scale will become increasingly essential to operational resilience, efficiency, and competitiveness."
The M01 robot incorporates autonomous navigation, perception systems, obstacle avoidance, and teleoperation capabilities. Micropolis designs and develops the robots in the UAE for logistics, security, infrastructure, and industrial applications.
Micropolis specializes in unmanned ground vehicles, AI systems, and smart infrastructure for urban, security, and industrial applications. The company's operations span mechatronics, embedded systems, AI software, and autonomy systems.
