Parsons wins $34 million DTRA contract extension for nuclear security work
Parsons Corporation (NYSE: PSN) received a $34 million contract extension from the Defense Threat Reduction Agency to continue nuclear enterprise mission assurance support services for one year.
The award represents the third option year exercised under DTRA's Assessments, Exercises, Modeling and Simulation Support contract, which has a $170 million ceiling value. DTRA originally awarded the contract in 2023 and has now exercised three of four available option years.
Under the contract extension, Parsons will support DTRA's Nuclear Enterprise Mission Assurance Department through vulnerability assessments, technical support projects, design review and operational support, and strategic mission analyses. The work aims to enhance resilience and operational readiness across nuclear enterprise programs.
"This award reflects DTRA's continued confidence in Parsons as a trusted mission partner," said Martin Boson, president of Engineered Systems at Parsons. "By delivering integrated capabilities, disciplined execution, and a strong focus on mission outcomes, our team will continue to advance DTRA's efforts to address complex challenges and sustain operational readiness across critical programs."
Parsons has supported DTRA's Cooperative Threat Reduction and Nuclear Enterprise Directorates for more than two decades across programs addressing chemical weapons, strategic offensive arms, nuclear security, and weapons of mass destruction proliferation prevention.
