BD names Vitor Roque as chief financial officer
BD (NYSE: BDX) appointed Vitor Roque as executive vice president and chief financial officer, effective May 7. Roque had served as interim CFO since December 2025.
Roque brings more than 25 years of experience at the medical technology company, most recently serving as senior vice president of Finance and Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis. During his interim CFO tenure, he led the global finance function and helped complete the separation of BD's Biosciences & Diagnostic Solutions business.
"Following a comprehensive search process, it was clear that Vitor is the right leader to serve as BD's next CFO," said Tom Polen, chairman, CEO and president of BD. "Vitor brings an unmatched understanding of our business, a proven ability to translate strategy into performance and the discipline to drive consistent execution at scale."
The Franklin Lakes, New Jersey-based company stated that Roque's experience spans finance and operations roles across business units, regions and manufacturing. His background includes work in multiple countries, providing global perspective on BD's operations.

BD describes itself as one of the world's largest medical technology companies, with more than 60,000 employees operating globally. The company develops medical devices, connected care solutions and biopharma systems.
