Powerus appoints Rear Admiral Sands III to advisory board

May 6, 2026 8:30 AM

Powerus announced the appointment of Rear Admiral (Ret.) Milton "Jamie" Sands III to its advisory board. Sands previously served as Commander of U.S. Naval Special Warfare Command and brings over three decades of operational leadership across naval warfare, special operations, and joint force command.

The retired admiral will provide strategic counsel on autonomous systems in modern conflict and serve as a senior voice on defense matters. Sands joins an advisory roster that includes Lt. General (Ret.) Keith Kellogg and General (Ret.) Charles Q. "CQ" Brown, Jr.

Sands currently serves as President and CEO of the Special Operations Warrior Foundation, which provides education and support to surviving children of U.S. Special Operations personnel who die in the line of duty.

His military career included commanding roles at SEAL Team 8, Naval Special Warfare Group 2, Naval Service Training Command, United States Special Operations Command Africa, and United States Special Operations Command as Chief of Staff before his final assignment commanding Naval Special Warfare Command from 2024 to 2025.

"Powerus is addressing a problem that I've watched build for years across every theater I served in — the gap between the technology that exists and the speed at which it gets to the people who need it," Sands said in a statement.

Powerus operates as a platform company that acquires and integrates domestically manufactured autonomous systems for defense, critical infrastructure, and precision agriculture. The company has announced a proposed merger with Aureus Greenway Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ: AGH) that would result in Powerus becoming publicly traded under the ticker symbol PUSA, with the transaction expected to close in summer 2026.
