EPAM Systems partners with Anthropic in multi-year AI deal
EPAM Systems Inc. (NYSE: EPAM) announced a strategic multi-year partnership with Anthropic to deliver enterprise-grade artificial intelligence solutions. The collaboration will combine EPAM's engineering capabilities with Anthropic's Claude models, Claude Code and Claude Agent SDK.
EPAM plans to develop a practice of more than 10,000 Claude-certified architects, including 250 specialized engineers. The company stated that over 1,300 architects have been certified to date, with 5,000 expected to be certified by the end of the third quarter and additional certifications planned for 2027. More than 20,000 EPAM employees have completed training through the Anthropic Academy.
"Our partnership with Anthropic is an important milestone in EPAM's mission to become the leading AI-native strategic service provider to our Global 2000 clients," said Elaina Shekhter, Chief Strategy & Transformation Officer at EPAM.
The partnership aims to help enterprises implement AI solutions for legacy operations, workflow automation, data analysis and operational efficiency improvements. Phil Samenuk, Head of Partnerships at Anthropic, said the collaboration will help enterprises "strengthen operational resilience and meet their business objectives by taking AI from concept to production."
EPAM provides AI transformation engineering and consulting services to Fortune Global 2000 companies. The company has operated for over 30 years in custom software, product and platform engineering. The partnership information was disclosed in a company press release.
