May 6, 2026 8:01 AM

AVAX One Technology Ltd. (NASDAQ: AVX) announced that ASCENT Consulting Ltd. has been selected as owner's engineer for the company's 10 MW critical power facility under development in Alberta, Canada.

The facility will feature natural-gas-fired generation with battery energy storage integration in an Uptime Institute Tier 3 configuration to support AI and high-performance computing infrastructure. The project is advancing from conceptual design to detailed engineering and AESO-ready deliverables.

ASCENT, founded in 1994 and headquartered in Calgary, is a multi-disciplinary engineering, procurement, and design firm registered across several Canadian provinces and territories. The company has completed more than 3,500 projects over three decades, including design and engineering of a 30 MW natural-gas-powered data facility in Fox Creek, Alberta.

Under the engagement, ASCENT will lead foundational engineering and design work including the Design Basis Memorandum, project schedule, plot plan, preliminary 3D model, electrical equipment power distribution block diagram, and system architecture and communication drawings.

"Engaging ASCENT reflects our commitment to partnering with best-in-class Alberta-based engineering firms as we advance our critical infrastructure platform," said Jolie Kahn, Chief Executive Officer of AVAX One.

The project remains scheduled for end-client deployment readiness in Q1 2027. AVAX One currently operates Bitcoin mining operations in Alberta with approximately 300 PH/s hashrate.

The announcement follows previous project milestones including initiating development of the 10 MW site, signing a front-end engineering and design proposal with BlueFlare Energy Solutions Inc., and confirming the behind-the-meter natural-gas generation model.
