ServiceNow launches Otto AI platform for enterprise automation

May 5, 2026 12:58 PM

ServiceNow (NYSE: NOW) announced the launch of ServiceNow Otto at its Knowledge 2026 customer event in Las Vegas. The new AI platform combines the company's Now Assist, Moveworks, and AI Experience technologies to handle work requests across multiple enterprise systems and departments.

ServiceNow Otto operates as a unified AI interface that accepts requests in natural language and executes tasks across different enterprise systems without requiring users to navigate between applications. The platform includes conversational AI, enterprise search capabilities, AI voice agents, and a data exploration tool that processes queries in plain language.

The system integrates with ServiceNow's AI Control Tower, which logs AI interactions, enforces enterprise policies, and provides explanations for automated decisions. Actions are governed by existing approval chains, permissions, and audit trails within enterprise workflows.

"Employees no longer need to know where to go or who to ask. They just ask ServiceNow Otto, and it can handle the rest within the guardrails the enterprise requires," said Bhavin Shah, SVP and GM of Employee Experience and AI at ServiceNow.

ServiceNow Otto is currently available through ServiceNow EmployeeWorks and AI Control Tower. The company reported that EmployeeWorks generated six deals exceeding $1 million each in net new annual contract value within one month of its launch. ServiceNow plans to roll out Otto across all its products over the next year.

The platform supports multiple languages and provides voice-based interactions without traditional phone menu systems. Enterprise search functionality covers documents, wikis, databases, and SharePoint systems, delivering personalized results based on user roles and locations.

Customer testimonials included statements from Siemens AG and Medtronic, highlighting the platform's ability to streamline internal processes and reduce administrative tasks for employees.
