Hamilton Medical selects PTC Codebeamer to replace legacy system
PTC Inc. (NASDAQ: PTC) announced that Hamilton Medical, a mechanical ventilation solutions provider, selected PTC's Codebeamer Application Lifecycle Management solution to replace its legacy ALM system and paper-based processes.
The companies entered a multi-year collaboration agreement to develop standardized medical technology software capabilities and advance integration between Codebeamer and PTC's Windchill Product Lifecycle Management solution. Hamilton Medical will contribute expertise in medical device development processes to support PTC's development of market-specific standards.
Hamilton Medical switched to Codebeamer to enhance collaboration among engineering, risk management, quality, and verification teams. The solution provides automated traceability and audit preparedness across product development while supporting compliance with industry standards.
"Given the critical role our products play in patient care, our development processes must be both uncompromisingly rigorous and highly adaptable," said Jim Giger, Director of Research and Development at Hamilton Medical. "PTC's ALM solution empowers us to adhere to risk-centric development practices while retaining the flexibility to respond to evolving product and regulatory demands."
The collaboration aims to advance PTC's ALM and PLM market-specific capabilities. Hamilton Medical has been a long-term user of PTC's Windchill Product Lifecycle Management solution. Together, Codebeamer and Windchill establish a unified product data foundation linking requirements, testing, and release decisions.
PTC is headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts, employs over 7,000 people and supports more than 30,000 customers globally, according to the company's press release.
