UiPath launches on-premises AI automation for government agencies
UiPath (NYSE: PATH) announced the release of agentic AI capabilities on its Automation Suite platform designed for government agencies and regulated industries. The update enables organizations to deploy AI automation within their own infrastructure while maintaining data sovereignty and compliance requirements.
The platform allows agencies to use either cloud-hosted models from providers including OpenAI, Google Gemini, and Anthropic, or fully self-hosted models within their data centers. The system runs across AWS, Microsoft Azure, and OpenShift environments.
Key features include UiPath Maestro, which serves as a control plane for orchestrating workflows, and governance capabilities that span agentic, IT, and infrastructure controls. The platform meets standards including ISO/IEC 42001, FedRAMP, and AIUC-1.
The release also introduces agentic testing capabilities through UiPath Test Cloud and includes integrations with Microsoft, Nvidia, Google Cloud, Salesforce, and Snowflake.
"As government agencies adopt agentic automation, our focus is helping them stay in control of their data, models, and how AI is used," said Chris Radich, Public Sector Chief Technology Officer at UiPath.
The announcement reflects the public sector's shift toward automation beyond basic robotic process automation to handle more complex, dynamic processes that require reasoning and adaptability, according to the company's press release.
