ROC hires Gary Lac as sales and marketing chief
Rank One Computing Corporation (NASDAQ: ROC) appointed Gary Lac as Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing, the company announced. The newly created position aims to support the biometrics company's commercial expansion following its February public market debut.
Lac brings over 20 years of experience in biometric identity systems and automated biometric identification systems platforms. He will focus on expanding ROC's presence in biometric identity markets and supporting the company's growth strategy.
"Gary is a proven biometric identity leader and technologist who understands this market from every angle," said Blake Moore, COO of ROC, according to the company's statement.
Prior to joining ROC, Lac served as Vice President of Solutions Development at NEC Corporation of America, where he led sales, marketing, and product development for biometric solutions. He previously held leadership roles at IDEMIA, 3M Cogent, and IBM, working on biometric platform development and enterprise solutions.
ROC reported 58% revenue growth in 2025, according to the company's statement. The Denver-based company develops vision AI technology for biometrics, video analytics, and decision intelligence solutions serving defense, public safety, and enterprise markets.
"I'm excited to join the team and help translate that potential into growth," Lac said in the company's announcement.
The appointment represents ROC's investment in commercial operations as it seeks to expand its automated biometric identification systems business and broader identity infrastructure offerings. The company went public in February and maintains additional operations in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and Morgantown, West Virginia.
