Broadridge expands proxy voting platform to all tokenized securities models

May 5, 2026 6:30 AM

Broadridge Financial Solutions Inc. (NYSE: BR) announced it has extended its proxy voting and disclosure solutions to support third party-custodied tokenized securities, enabling governance across all security tokenization models outlined by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

The expansion builds on recent partnerships with Galaxy and Ondo Finance for governance solutions covering issuer-sponsored and third party-sponsored tokenized securities. The new platform provides voting capabilities for securities held in brokerage accounts, custodial platforms, digital wallets, or direct ownership frameworks.

The solution offers retail investors access to vote holdings through Broadridge's ProxyVote platform across both traditional and tokenized securities. Institutional investors can manage voting through ProxyEdge, while issuers receive tools to manage proxy and corporate actions across registered, beneficial and tokenized shares.

"As tokenization reshapes how securities are issued, held, and traded, solving for governance - irrespective of how they are tokenized and where they are held - is critical to scaling adoption," said Doug DeSchutter, President of Investor Communication Solutions at Broadridge.

Bill Capuzzi, Chief Executive Officer of Apex Fintech Solutions, stated that "trusted governance and disclosure capabilities will help drive broader adoption" of tokenized securities.

Broadridge's network connects more than 200 million investors, hundreds of banks and broker-dealers, and virtually every public company, mutual fund and ETF. The company's Distributed Ledger Repo solution processes approximately $350 billion daily in tokenized real assets.

The platform includes features for vote accuracy, institutional control frameworks, and information security management standards. Broadridge processes over 7 billion communications annually and supports daily trading of more than $15 trillion in tokenized and traditional securities globally.
