Ouster integrates REV8 digital lidar sensors with NVIDIA Jetson platform
Ouster Inc. (NASDAQ: OUST) announced the integration of its REV8 OS digital lidar sensors across NVIDIA's Jetson platform, according to a company press release.
The REV8 sensors feature what the company describes as native color lidar technology and are powered by Ouster's L4 Silicon. The integration includes dedicated plugins for NVIDIA JetPack software and Isaac ROS, allowing the sensors' point cloud data to connect with NVIDIA's hardware-accelerated perception systems.
The collaboration includes support within NVIDIA Isaac Sim simulation framework, enabling developers to use 3D lidar models for machine learning training and perception pipeline validation. The drivers are designed to work with NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin and Jetson Thor processors for real-time edge processing applications.
Ouster operates as a NVIDIA NPN partner. The company develops lidar sensors, cameras, and perception software for industrial, robotics, automotive, and infrastructure applications.
"By integrating our Rev8 sensors with NVIDIA Jetson, we're ensuring rich, high-fidelity 3D digital lidar data is fully harnessed by NVIDIA's accelerated computing and development tools," said Ouster CEO Angus Pacala.
The San Francisco-based company serves customers globally with offices across the Americas, Europe, and Asia-Pacific regions.
